Pogba states that he is worth €0 unless he put in some work, as speculation over his future intensifies.
As speculation over his future increases, Paul Pogba has stated that he is not worth any amount of money unless he put in some amount of work.
Juventus went five points clear at the top of Serie A after Sunday victory over Verona.
The 21 year old who took the lead for his side at the 3rd minute, stated “I am happy because we are playing very well and today kept a clean sheet. For me personally I am happy, I want to continue like this and give everything for this team,” Pogba told Sky Sport Italia.
"I need to do more. I want to be a champion like Andrea [Pirlo] Gigi [Buffon] and [Giorgio] Chiellini. I want to be one of the best in the world and must do everything to reach that level." “I hope for the Ballon d’Or in future, but I have a lot of work for that.”
His agent claimed earlier this week that he would leave the club sooner rather than later and he said the midfielder is worth in the region of €100m However, the french midfielder insisted that he is not worth any transfer fee unless he continues to work hard to improve his game. He added, "I am worth €0. I am worth nothing unless I work on the field in every single game."
Pogba was singled out and praised by Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri who believes the midfielder has the ability to be crowned the best player in the world. "We treat Pogba like a veteran," the coach told Sky Sport Italia.
"But he is still very young. "I often tell him to think about which areas of the field he can do certain things, as sometimes he goes a bit over the top, [but on Sunday] he played a great game.
"In order to win the Ballon d'Or you tend to need the Champions League or a major international trophy. He certainly has what it takes to achieve that."
The former Manchester United man has scored 5 league goals in 16 games for the Italian side this season.
