Barcelona announce signing of Rakitic from Sevilla

Barcelona have announced the signing of Croatia international midfielder Ivan Rakitic from Sevilla on a five-year deal.

Rakitic joined Sevilla from Schalke for €2.5 million in January 2011. The 26-year-old made 59 appearances in his three seasons with the Andalusians, scoring 15 goals, and led the club to glory in the Europa League last term. Rakitic is currently with the Croatian National Team in Brazil for the ongoing World Cup.
