Berlusconi: AC Milan can be one of the best in the world

          AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi believes that his team can return to its peak as one o fthe best teams in the world. Milan finished eighth place in Serie A last season and are currently in seventh place in the current campaign.

 Despite having a difficult year last season, Berlusconi feels that Filippo Inzaghi's men can become one of the strongest sides on the continent. He currently has his eyes on acquiring UEFA champions league football and a victory in the Coppa Italia.


"I have always said that I would never trade our squad with anyone in Italy," he told Milan Channel. "Not with Roma's or even Juventus'. "I think we have the opportunity, with this squad, to return to be protagonists in Italy, in Europe and in the world.

 "I don't think we need reinforcements in January. I think we have a team that is balanced in all areas. "Our strength, compared to the other teams, is in our squad depth. "This year we want third place in the league - we need to get into Europe - and we also want to win the Coppa Italia.

 "I believe that we absolutely can impose ourselves as the best team in Italy in 2015. We always have to go into the field with the intention of being masters of the field and the masters of the game."
