Wenger: Monaco Is A 50:50 Game

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has warned his charges that Wednesday nights opponents will be a difficult test.Monaco visit the Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal on Wednesday in the Champions league round of 16 a fixture which sees Arsene Wenger come up against his former side.

Arsenal are on a good run of form having lost just once in their last nine games and currently sit third in the Premier League standings. Both sides come into the clash on the back victories in their respective leagues with Monaco sitting fourth in Ligue 1.

"The spirit is there and we want to keep that as a very strong basis, the team has come up a level and we will see that with the results".

"The last 16 in recent years has been super tough.This is a 50:50 game".

"We know that Monaco are very tight defensively, they didn't concede in the group stages against good teams.Of course it will be tricky, but a possible tie".

"It is really 50:50 because Monaco are in a similar position to us.They came back into a good position in their league and their confidence level will be high".
