Buhari Victorious In Nigeria Elections

Gen Muhammad Buhari is on the verge of a famous victory over incumbent president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Although Buhari is yet to be confirmed as the next President of the country by INEC.

The polls show that Mr Buhari is ahead of Mr Jonathan by almost 3 million votes.

This is the fourth time Buhari has contested the seat of presidency in the country being unsuccessful in three of those encounters.

Buhari claimed more votes from the north winning in 21 states and claiming the highest number of votes with Jonathan winning in 15 states and Abuja.

Mr Buhari's victory makes it the second time since Nigeria returned to democratic rule that a former Army General takes power with former President Olusegun Obasanjo being the first
