Rising Stars from The Arsenal Academy who could break into the first team (Part 1)

1. Damian Martinez
He has had little chances to prove himself with limited opportunities in the Capital one cup last season and during this current pre-season . But from his performances have not really been superb, although he is still young and lacks experience. But once a person is naturally talented, he can force himself into the first team as we saw in Szczesny's case. Damian is currently 21 and it was the same age as Szczesny when he announced himself in the premier league. Personally, with the arrival of Emilliano Viviano, the chances of him in the first team this season is very slim. He has shown that he is good but i think he needs to improve and i feel that he should be loaned out to a championship side to get little experience. He showed his lack of experience during Reading game last season in the Capital one cup. when Damian is in goal he tends to come out too often and most times act before thinking. He has been called up once by Argentina in a friendly game against Nigeria. I hope he can step up and prove his worth at the Emirates but it's going to be a very difficult task because he is almost the same age with Szczesny. I see his future somewhere else only if he wants to play as a second fiddle to to Szczesny or else he step up his game and challenge Szczesny for the No. 1 spot.

2. Thomas Eisfeld
When Zelalem and Gnabry were added to the first team this season, I know many Arsenal fans expected Eisfeld to join them; I am one of them. I was actually not surprised because of the state of our current midfield. Eisfeld is a very talented player who has eye for goals. He scored nine times last season for the youth team in 22 games. He plays best as an Attacking Midfielder and can also play on both flanks. He is going to have a very limited chance this season in the first team especially as Zelalem has become Wenger's favorite. Instead of playing with the U-21's where he has constantly impressed I will also like him to go out on loan and develop his game and also learn the physicality of the premier league. He can also be loaned to a championship side or even the premier league. Eisfeld is going to be one of Arsenal's future and he is definitely going to develop into a classy midfielder especially as he now trains with some first team players especially Ozil, Rosicky and Cazorla. Even though he was added to the champions league squad this season, his chances are also limited because of the group Arsenal fell into. He is already 19, same age with already established star, Julian Draxler. Instead of halting his progress with the youth team, I would advice a possible loan for him.

 3. Serge Gnabry
Serge is one of the youth team players on the brink of first team breakthrough. He is a very talented midfielder who play as a winger on both flanks and also at the central attacking midfield. He was added to the first team squad this season and handed the no. 44 shirt. Although, he may be down the pecking order after Walcott and Chamberlain but I feel he can add something to the squad at a point this season. Serge is a player who is not afraid to shoot the ball and he is very pacy too and tries to beat players. With the departure of Gervinho there was no body in Arsenal first team that can beat players on a regular bases from the flanks until the arrival of Özil. At just 18, he possesses a lot of qualities and also have a good passing accuracy. He scored five goals in 18 games for the U-21's last season. I hope he is actually going to make use of the chances he gets this season. He has a lot of similarities to Walcott and Chamberlain. But, I see him as a combination of both Walcott and Chamberlain. If he continue with his current progress, by 24 he going to be better than Walcott. I expect him to play in our Capital One Cup this season and also the FA cup. If we get knocked out of the competition early, I will suggest he get loaned out.

 4. Ryo Miyaichi
When signed in 2011, named the new Ronaldo, I had to follow him up till this day and also monitored his progress. Ryo had a successful loan spell with Feyenoord, where he scored twice and had six assists. He displayed his skills also which led to the dutch fans calling him "Ryodinho". Ryo is a very talented winger with very high qualities. At first, I want him to go out on loan, but after two unsuccessful loan spells at Bolton and Wigan, I felt he should stay at Arsenal and continue his development as Wenger can bring out the best from him. The only problem I have with Ryo is his ball control, He looses the ball too easily as a result of trying to beat and dribble past players. If he can work on that which i'm already seeing a little progress especially the game against Fernabache(2nd leg), he will be very important to the team. Ryo is yet to score his first Goal in an Arsenal Shirt(except pre-season goal against Nagoya).. I also think he currently lacking confidence and he is unfamiliar with the Arsenal team. But once he blends you will see the extraordinary Miyaichi. I love his pace as he is the second fastest player after Walcott at Arsenal. One thing I'm afraid is that he should not follow the Asian jinx at Arsenal as we have seen to Inamoto and Park Chu Young who have both played under Wenger. But with Ryo exceptional qualities i feel he is going to be different as he is one of the few players to be granted work permit based on special talent in the game of football. If given the chance and stays injury-free, I see Ryo challenging for the first team shirt this season with highly rated Oxlade-Chamberlain and can serve as a good back-up for Walcott.

5. Yaya Sanogo
The  newly recruited gunner, Yaya Sanogo is a very talented striker who I can compare his strength with that of Christian Benteke. So bad he is unable to replicate his U-20 World cup form in Arsenal colors as he is still adapting to the style of English football. He showed his goal scoring prowess last season for his previous club AJ Aurexxe scoring eight goals in eleven games including four goals against Stade Laval. He has played less career games due to injuries. He had a career Statistic of 16 goals in 24 games before signing for Arsenal in July, 2013. He also scored four goals and had an assist in five games in the recently concluded U-21 world cup. I'm not impressed with his performances this season, though he is yet to start a game. He is unfamiliar with the team and still adapting. When he has been brought-on as a substitute in all games this season, he doesn't look like a threat to the attack. He is completely missing in the pitch and just keep running around the pitch. I hope you will see the real Yaya Sanogo when he finally adapts because I know he is going to be on a goal scoring spree once he starts. He can be the next player to follow in the footsteps of both Bacary Sagna and Abou Diaby. As the were both successful in Arsenal colors though the latter's progress has been halted with injuries. Yaya is going to take the EPL by storm and serve as a good back back-up for Olivier Giroud.
