The midfielder was highly coveted by many top European clubs including Bayern Munich Arsenal Manchester United and Liverpool
The player had recently had trials at all these clubs but it appears the player favored a move to the spanish capital.
Speculation continued to mount over the players future in the last couple of months and Madrid have finally confirmed his signature.
Odegaard was presented to the press on thursday and the youngster was all so composed.When asked how soon he is expected to play in the first team he said
"That's not important.If Carlo Ancelotti wants to use me,I'll be delighted but I'll also be delighted to be playing for the second team".
