Robin van Persie uncertain about his future at Manchester United as current deal expires in 2016.

Manchester United forward Robin van Persie admits he is not sure if he will be offered a new deal when his current deal expires in 2016.

But Van Persie concedes that he may not see out his career at Old Trafford: "It is not up to me. For the moment I am staying here for 18 months,” he told reporters.

"I can't look into the future. I don't know what is going to happen after that. We shall have to wait and see."

The striker also stated in his believe in manager Louis van Gaal, "I've known him for over two years and I know how he works," said Van Persie. "Every year I still believe in him, we work together. "We are trying everything we can to win games, but not only that, we want to do it in a nice way as well. That is a process and in that process we have to be honest and give everything we can."

Talking about his current form this season, he said, "I have played something like 20 games and I have scored eight goals. I am not happy with that." He added; "I have to be honest," he said. "We are not scoring enough goals. "Everyone feels responsible. I do, definitely. "I want to score more. I will do everything, every day in training and during the games. I will keep doing what I have been doing for the last 10 years to make those goals."

At the launch of United's first global foreign exchange and online trading partner, Van Persie talked about United last FA cup game, "After the game against Cambridge, everyone was a little bit down,"

"But on Saturday the whole mood changed. City were out, Chelsea were out and suddenly we are in it with a home tie against Cambridge. "Of the so-called big clubs it is just us, Arsenal, Liverpool and West Ham. "But we are the highest left in the competition. Does that make us favourite? I don't know. But I am very happy that we are in it."

Since signing for United in 2012, the dutchman has scored 46 league goals in 79 games.
