Sampdoria has signed free agent Samuel Eto'o

     Sampdoria confirmed on Saturday that former Everton forward Samuel Eto'o has joined the club as a free agent.

Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic who told his players not to be distracted by the Cameroonian's arrival said,

"Party, what party?" he told a news conference. "Eto'o is joining this team but he must not be a distraction."

 "He's a great player, who has won everything and that attracts a lot of attention from the media, but this should not distract us."

"The reason we are third is thanks to these guys, their commitment and their daily work."

Eto'o scored 3 league goals in 14 appearances for Everton before moving to the Italian side.
