Rodgers: Sturridge Still Better Than Kane
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers still has no doubt that Daniel Sturridge is the three lions best forward despite the impressive form of Spurs Striker Harry Kane.
Harry Kane netted a double which secured the victory against bitter rivals Arsenal in the North London derby at White Hart Lane.
The 21 year old striker has now scored 22 goals in all competitions and 12 in the premier league.
Sturridge on the other hand has just returned to the Liverpool squad after a long injury lay off since august but netted on his return against West Ham after just 12 minutes on the field.
The two sides face off on Tuesday and both strikers would be looking to increase their goal tallies with Rodgers still believing he has the best of the two strikers.
"For me there's not anyone better than Daniel Sturridge".
"He's got everything in his game if he's playing consistently. His goalscoring record, his pace, his power,he's got everything and as an English striker, there's no-one better than him".
"But I'm sure Daniel will look at it that there's another English Striker coming through and that will really help him when they come together at international level".
Sturridge is line to make his first start for Liverpool since August against Spurs on Tuesday night with a view to closing the gap on their other top four rivals
