Herrera: Wayne Rooney Sets An Example For Us

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has praised the leadership qualities of Manchester united forward Wayne Rooney who is also his captain at United.

The Spaniard himself was on target twice yesterday in United's victory over Aston Villa and was praised by club manager Louis Van Gaal after enduring some criticism over the first half of the season.

Herrera stated "Wayne Rooney is our leader. He is maybe the strongest guy,not only physically but also mentally".

"I think we in the squad are following him always".

"He is our captain, our leader and our character. I think he shows very,very well what Manchester United is.
