Galatasaray head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu: Podolski and Gignac on my shortlist

      Galatasaray head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu has admitted Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski and French forward Andre-Pierre Gignac are target for the Turkish club.

He told NTV Sport: "Podolski and Gignac are both on our shortlist, (but) we have not yet entered direct talks."

Podolski was relegated to the bench last season before being loaned out to Inter Milan in January.

During, his spell at Inter, he made 18 appearances and scored just once. Inter who had the option to retain the German forward decided not to keep him after the end of the season. Podolski told reporters this week that he was open to returning back to the Gunners.

He said: "There's bound to be speculation in the coming weeks, but at the moment it looks like I will be going back to London."

"Things can always change, but if needs be I will remain at Arsenal next season," he added.

Meanwhile, 29 year old Gignac scored 23 goals in 38 games last season for French side Marseille.

Earlier this week, West Bromwich Albion appear to have cooled their interest in the French forward with Tony Pulis believed to pursue other striking options.
