Pedro: I don't like the way Valdes is being treated at Manchester United
Spanish forward Pedro has said that he as no regrets over his move to Chelsea, and he believes he has a more chance of representing his country in the Euros 2016 with the London club.
"I am happy with how my time has started at Chelsea.
"When you have more minutes you can play at a different rhythm with more confidence and a different mentality, he told FIFA official website.
"I am sure the move will be very good for me to play both at Chelsea and with the national team."
The 28 year old admitted that he does not like the way his former teammate is being treated at United, after being frozen from the first team and being accused of refusing to play with the Under-21 side.
He told Spanish Newspaper, Marca, "It’s true that I don’t like that treatment for my colleagues, especially for Victor, who has been a reference as a team-mate and as a professional."
"I don’t believe it’s fair but it did not influence my decision. I just saw that Manchester did not take that move forward, that they were taking too long. Chelsea were more determined.
"I had an important chat with José Mourinho and he said many things that I liked to hear. That, combined with the possibility to live in London, was what made me decide," he added.
Speaking about Saturday's 2-0 win over Slovakia in the European Championship qualifiers, he said: "The game yesterday was one of the best playing in our style."
"There was a lot of first-touch football and we were always looking to attack against a Slovakia side that hadn't lost a game. "It is possibly our best game since the World Cup."
Since signing for Chelsea, the winger has a goal and an assist to his name in two matches and will be hoping to increase his tally when his side visit Everton on September 12.
