Bayern Munich confirms Arjen Robben is out for 'several weeks'

      Twenty-four minutes into today's game against Borussia Mönchengladbach, Arjen Robben was stretched out of the pitch after sustaining an injury.

Bayern Munich confirmed via twitter that the winger will be out for several weeks. The club suffered a shock home defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach, after midfielder Raffael Caetano de Araújo scored a brace.

However, the league leaders are still ten points clear of second placed Wolfsburg.

Robben who just returned to training this week after sustaining a back injury two weeks ago, will miss Netherland's games against Turkey and Spain.

Speaking after the game, chief executive officer of the FC Bayern München Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said via the club's twitter page that Robben's injury is "as bad as the defeat" suffered by his team.

Meanwhile, head coach Pep Guardiola also said that "[his team] need to analyse the game and aim to get back to winning ways after the international break."
