Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna signs for West Ham

West Ham have signed Angelo Ogbonna from Juventus for a fee in the region of £8.5m. The centre-back signed a four-year deal after he passed a medical with the Hammers.
Ogbonna told the club’s website: "I wanted to play in the Premier League and am happy to be in London. My heart told me that the right decision was to play for West Ham United. I cannot wait to start working under Mr Bilic and with my new team-mates. I feel ready for this new adventure."
The 27 year old was an unused substitute in Juventus Champions league final defeat to Barcelona last month. The 6 foot 3 defender can play as a center back and a left back.
Ogbonna has made 10 appearances for the Italy, and was a member of the Italian side which finished as runners-up at the 2012 UEFA European Championship.
