Matteo Darmian will sign for Manchester United, says Torino Coach

  Torino coach Giampiero Ventura on Wednesday confirmed that Manchester United Will sign full back Matteo Darmian.

The 25-year-old has been linked with the English giants in recent weeks and will sign for a reported fee of £14.4 million.

Ventura told Sky Sport Italia, "It’s true, Darmian will play in the Champions League with Manchester United."

"Matteo deserves a top team and always dreamed of playing in the Champions League so now that dream will be realized."

He added: "In these four years since Darmian joined Torino from AC Milan, we've gone from Serie B and a great depression to the top flight and the enthusiasm of the Europa League."

"We worked with Darmian for many years and it's only right he should be given the chance to make his Champions League dream come true."

Darmian made his senior debut for Italy in May 2014, and also represented the nation at the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He made a total of 47 appearances last season, and scored 5 times.
